This ad tells the story of Molly Jane Matheson, a young woman who was sexually assaulted and brutally murdered at the hands of someone who should have never had the chance to commit this heinous crime.

Following this tragedy, Molly Jane’s mother Tracy asked me what could be done so that her daughter’s death was not in vain and could be used as a catalyst for change.

It was an honor and privilege to work with Tracy, my fellow legislators, and survivors of sexual assault to get this important law passed.

I authored and passed legislation to identify the patterns of violent sexual predators so they can be apprehended before they have the chance to attack again.
