Fort Worth Roots

Representative Goldman is extremely proud of his Texas roots as a 5th generation Texan and a 4th generation native of Fort Worth. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a partner in several real estate investment companies. Craig and his wife, Auryn, reside in Fort Worth, Texas.

LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Campaign Ethics Reform

A former elected official, now registered as a lobbyist, may not use funds from their campaign account to make a political contribution or lobby expenditures.

If they do, they are prohibited from lobbying and registering as a lobbyist for the next 2 years.

Protecting Victims of Child Sex Abuse

Extends the statute of limitations for personal injury claims resulting from child sexual abuse from 15 years to 30 years, allowing a more reasonable period for victims to bring such claims against their offender.

Combating Mail-In Ballot Fraud

Elevated mail-in ballot fraud penalties for those who knowingly and deceive, mislead, or misinform voters.

Deregulated Natural Hair Braiding

Removed the requirement for hair-braiders to obtain a full cosmetology license to braid hair (something the license doesn't even teach!).

Molly Jane's Law

Instructs all law enforcement departments utilize ViCAP - the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program – for sexual assault incident and investigative reporting. ViCAP is designed exclusively to assist in identifying patterns of serial sexual offenders and will assist detectives in quickly identifying potential behavioral patterns in sexually violent predators.
